Bees Quarter - Sita Warrior of Mithila

Image
Bees Quarter was a complex of houses built for poor people living in slums in Mithila. It was mentioned in the book, Sita Warrior of Mithila , the second book in the Ram Chandra series.  Sita wanted that the southern gate of Mithila is demolished and new, permanent houses are built for the poor on the same land. These houses were built with money given by Malayputras to Sita just after Sita was declared Vishnu by Vishwamitra. Though the execution had been entrusted to Samichi, Sita had involved herself in the planning and design of the project after consulting the representatives of the slum dwellers. She had eventually worked out an innovative solution for not only their housing needs but also providing them with a sustainable livelihood. The slum dwellers very superstitious so they wanted their new home to be built exactly at the place where the old home was. But the original slum had no street. There were just small haphazard pathways. It was then that Sita came up with...

Samichi - Sita Warrior of Mithila ( Ram Chandra Series #2)

What is the relationship between  Khara and Samichi is one of the questions that pops up in your mind if you completed reading Sita - Warrior of Mithila.     I have tried to answer this question to the best of my knowledge from Amish's books as well as our Hindu mythology textures. Please read it carefully and if you have any questions, feel free to write them in the comment box. KHARA In   Sita - Warrior of Mithila , there is not much of the description of Khara. The book is about the life of  Devi Sita and it unfolds the events starting from her birth to how she got kidnapped by Raavan’s soldiers.   Mostly, we know about Khara from the initial chapters of the second book - Sita. He tortured Jatayu so that Sita would reveal herself as she was hiding behind the trees and observing all this. It was because of him, that Sita had to come out to protect his brother -Jatayuji. She did come. But Khara was very cruel. He killed Jatayu. This in...

Scion of Ikshvaku - Ending clues

Amish talked about leaving clues at the end of Scion of Ikshvaku book during one of his interviews. If you have completed reading Sita Warrior of Mithila then you obviously have known by now that Vishwamitra(chief of Malayputras) declared Sita as Vishnu. But Amish already left this clue for readers to figure out in the ending paragraph of Scion of Ikshvaku. Let's look at the ending paragraph of the book. Jatayu could feel life slipping away. Using his last reserves of will, he raised his body, reached his hand out and pulled Ram towards him. With his dying breaths, Jatayu whispered, ‘Get … her back … I … failed… She’s important … Lady Sita … must be saved … Lady Sita … must be saved … Vishnu … Lady Sita …’ … to be continued These were the words of Jatayu just before his death in the forest when Ram and Lakshman came running to him. Sita was like a sister to him and he failed to protect her. He first referred to her as Lady Sita a few times and then he said Vishnu. ...

Sita Warrior of Mithila

With less than three days to go, the bestselling author Amish Tripathi is all set to release his second book on Ram Chandra series titled as Sita - Warrior of Mithila . It's been two years since his first book of the series Scion of Ikshvaku was released in June 2015. Fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming book. Amish started his book writing with Immortals of Meluha around 8-9 years ago, which he self-published after it was rejected by 20 publication houses. The book went on to be a hit following which Amish got instant recognition and he was inspired to write the second book of what is now known as Shiva Trilogy. Personally, I liked Shiva Trilogy more than the ongoing series. Maybe because we are more familiar to Ramayana than SHIV PURAN . But Amish has a different interpretation of Indian mythology and it is one of his quality to tell the story with a scientific explanation and also with it providing the notion of Karma and a nice insight on philosophy. That is ...
