  I'm a huge fan of Agatha Christie and love her books. Even the ones that are less entertaining. She will always be my favourite crime books author. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd was a masterpiece and it's my favourite book from the series.  I've read several books of hers, which include And Then There were none, The Murder at the Orient Express, Cards at the table, The Mysterious Affairs at Styles, ABC Murders, and I'm yet to read so many good books of the series. Especially ones that include our favourite Hercule Poirot and Arthur Hastings. We can never have enough of these two. My top three books were : 1. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd 2. ABC Murders 3. When you think of Egypt, what's the first thought that comes to your mind?  Pyramids? Egypt's famous for pyramids. The country has lots of them.  Mummies? Of course. With great pyramids comes scary mummies. They were terrifying in 'The Mummy' movies we watched in our childhood. The popular TV series Hatim also had a plot exploring a similar story.  The Pyramids and tombs of Egypt are fascinating. Centuries-old tombs of kings and their beautiful wives, having their reliefs on the walls of the chambers. It makes you wonder about their life, their beliefs, and their rituals. The tombs are also decorated with scenes from Egyptian mythology.  There's so much to know about Egyptian mythology and their old culture. A simple search on the web will give you a vast amount of information that will be enough to keep you occupied for years. But the best way to learn about them is through a story.   Been a while since I posted here. When there is a new post on my blog, it's about a book I read. But in the past three months, I haven't read a single book. However, there are some amazing books that I've been waiting to read this year.  First of them is A deadly education by Naomi Novik released on September 29. I've previously read one of her books Spinning Silver and was mesmerised by her writing style. That was the reason why I was eagerly waiting for her latest book. I've already got the ebook but a hardcover version might just suit me better. The reviews tells me that it is going to be an excited read. Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson is another one on my list. It is one of the most anticipated book of the year. Usually it takes me about 10-15 days to read a book in the stormlight archives series.  Vikramaditya Veergatha is a mytho-fiction series by Shatrujeet Nath. Earlier, it was planned to be a trilogy known as Vikramaditya Trilogy. Later, it was called Vikramaditya Veergatha when it was decided that there will be four books in total instead of three.  All the books of the series were released at an interval of one and a half to two years.  The fourth book of the series, The Wrath of the Hellfires was going to be released in March 2020, but due to Covid-19 pandemic, the publisher could not manage to release it on time. Everyone including me was eagerly waiting for the fourth book and were very disappointed when it wasn't out. So often it happens that you want to read so many books, your Goodreads want to read list keeps getting bigger and bigger every year and yet you think twice before buying that book. Because buying books can be really expensive, especially if you like to read a lot.  I have bought lots of books over the years. And I enjoyed each of them. But after I'm done reading, I don't even open them again. There are books that are as exciting as the first time you read them (Kingkiller Chronicles for me). And there are books that aren't much fun the second time. Or the third. Instead, they get cornered on your shelf, eating dust. It would be much better if you can just buy used books at cheaper prices compared to Amazon and Flipkart. Books are magical and a second-hand book is the old magic spell. Hey there, everybody Today I want to talk about a fantasy series I have recently been obsessed with. Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson.  My fascination with fantasy and Science Fiction dates back to my childhood when I used to read lots of comics and stories in the newspaper edition of Saturday. Stories filled with magic, adventure, romance and secret treasures.  It made me love this genre. But the best part about reading fiction is it indirectly teaches you a lot. Some stories are open to the interpretation of the readers. While others are happily ever after kind. While it's natural for anyone to hate the one with a sad ending, if you look at it from another angle you might get why it had to be so.  This reminds me of a quote from my favourite fantasy series, Kingkiller Chronicles. Hi, everyone   I'm posting a review of a book I read in March. It's Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik .  A 5 stars rating from two of my favourite authors, Patrick Rothfuss and Martha Wells, prompted me to read this book. I really really liked it. And this will be one of my favourite books for years to come. The book won many awards, including Locus Award for a fantasy novel,   Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for adult literature. This is the first book I read in 2020. Three years after it was in the stores. Last year, the first book I read was The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson . So I'm going with another fantasy book this year too. Nowadays so many of the books that I read comes straight from the recommendation by the authors that I follow on Goodreads. Mostly it's Patrick Rothfuss . When he's reading a book, I check that book out. Like Murderbot series by Martha Wells. Or Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. And this one too. He's still reading it though. This book was more interesting. The Secret of Nagas (Book 2 of Shiva Trilogy) was the best work of Amish. This book is just as good. There will be SPOILERS ahead.         One of the reasons for that being since Ravana was 56 years old at the end of the book, he had a long journey right from having nothing but his uncle Mareech in his childhood to support him, a mother and months old brother to protect to be the king of Lanka in the end.
